Confluence visits

The items listed below are documented visits I made to degree confluences, integer intersections of latitude and longitude according to WGS84 reference datum. They are listed in similar fashion to that which appears on my vistor page on the Degree Confluence Project (DCP) website. Of the fifteen confluence visits below, fourteen are the first "complete" visits documented to that confluence (a "complete" visit entails submitting adequate proof of being within 100 meters of the true WGS84 confluence point). Only on N43 W092 did we discover that a previous visitor's claim was legitimate and could not be supplanted, thus my visit was first runner-up.

The demise of GPS selective availability and the advent of the DCP website triggered a kind of land rush in 2000 and 2001 to forever "own" the main DCP links to confluences by logging the first complete visits. Despite my late start, I was able to bag a plurality of Wisconsin confluences (seven). A few of these involved extensive work to not only document my visit but also to convincingly prove that previous claimants were not where they thought they were.

Still, the crown jewel is the confluence bagged in the Falkland Islands, the first visited in that country.
